VLAM: Launching Europe’s Apples and Pears in India

Background:

Apple is the most eaten fruit in India in the imported fruit category. The fresh produce industry in India is growing rapidly with global competitors such as USA and China making headways. India poses a tough and competitive market for fresh produce brands with innumerable hurdles, but market trends defy all odds as it is a sharply rising market in the world.

Objective:

VLAM with the support of the EU, wants to create familiarity and build the image of the fresh produce of the European Union especially of Apples and Pears in the Indian market

Key Tasks:

  • To plan and launch the brand in key retail channels
  • To roll out a retail communication exercise in alignment with the campaign thought of ‘Enjoy, its from Europe’
  • To develop core creatives for the launch of the brand

Solution:

To solve the above mentioned tasks, the route of activation was taken. We did a multi-city retail exercise to reach out to both B2B and B2C customers. We reached out to key metros in India.
